Who We Serve
We provide safe, structured, and developmentally appropriate residential care for adolescent boys ages 10-18 who may be experiencing family disruption or instability, court or probation involvement, behavioral or emotional challenges, community displacement or placement disruption, or risk of detention or higher-level placement.
Our approach balances accountability with support, recognizing that youth thrive when expectations are clear, supervision is consistent, and relationships are rooted in dignity and respect.
Crisis Wave & De-Escalation Training
Crisis Wave Training—also known as crisis intervention and de-escalation training—equips staff and professionals with practical tools to recognize, manage, and safely de-escalate behavioral health crises and high-stress situations.
This training focuses on identifying early warning signs of emotional escalation, responding with effective verbal and relational techniques, and understanding the natural cycle of a crisis—often referred to as the “crisis wave.” Just as a wave rises and eventually falls, heightened emotional states can be safely navigated when the right strategies are used at the right time.
Participants learn how to:
- Recognize behavioral and emotional warning signs early
- Apply proven verbal de-escalation techniques
- Respond with calm, supportive communication during heightened stress
- Understand the rise and fall of emotional escalation
- Prevent situations from progressing toward aggression or violence
By emphasizing awareness, communication, and compassionate intervention, Crisis Wave Training helps create environments where safety, dignity, and stability remain the priority for both youth and staff.
